Surplus City Equipment to be Auctioned September 6
The City of Port St. Lucie will sell its surplus and seized equipment in an auction on Saturday, September 6 at the city’s public works compound beginning at 10 a.m.
The auction will include a 2006 Mercedes C230 sedan with only 10,000 miles, and heavy equipment such as a 1992 Ford backhoe and a 1989 Ford water truck. Also for sale will be a 1998 21-foot center console boat, pick-up trucks, vans, SUVs and passenger cars. Other items include office equipment, furniture, computers and more.
The event will be run by Karlin Daniel & Associates, Inc., a professional auctioneering firm.
The city will accept payment in full only by cash, a cashier’s check or a check with a bank letter of guarantee. Vehicles and heavy equipment require a $500 cash deposit per vehicle at time of bidding. Buyers must remove items from city property by Monday, September 8.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m., rain or shine, but gates open at 9 a.m. to allow for inspection.
