The Professional Standards Division is comprised of the Internal Affairs Section and Staff Services Section.
The Internal Affairs Section provides a systematic, objective, and impartial method of investigating complaints of improper behavior that may violate department or city rules and regulations by police officers or other personnel.
The Staff Services Section is comprised of the Accreditation/Staff Inspection, Recruiting, and Training Units.
Professional Standards is also responsible for coordinating the department’s monthly crime accountability meeting known as STARCOM.
Working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m to 5 p.m.
