The City of Port St. Lucie’s 2008 Hurricane & Emergency Preparedness Guide is now available at city buildings and the Internet to help residents prepare for the storm season, which begins June 1.
The 48-page guide is full of useful information about the City’s plans for hurricane season and the many services and programs to deal with disasters. Included are a hurricane tracking map, emergency contact phone numbers, evacuation route maps, generator safety information, tips for pet owners and much more.
Much of the information would also be useful for wildfires, emergencies at Florida Power and Light’s St. Lucie nuclear power plant, and during other natural and man-made emergencies.
The guides are available at:
- City Hall, 121 S.W. Port St. Lucie Blvd.
- Community Center, 2950 S.E. Airoso Blvd.
- Police Headquarters, 121 S.W. Port St. Lucie Blvd.
- Rosser Boulevard police sub-station, 2950 S.W. Rosser Blvd.
- Public Works offices, 450 S.W. Thornhill Drive.
- Utilities Systems offices, 900 S.E. Ogden Lane.
