A total of 18 Florida State licensed operators are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the city’s two wastewater treatment plants and three master wastewater booster pump stations. Each plant treats 4 million gallons of sewage daily.
Like their water treatment counterparts, the 18 operators rely on technology and computer controls for their 24/7 plant operations and for regulatory reporting. With the aid of our telemetry and the fiber optic systems, this group can also remotely operate reclaimed irrigation quality (reuse) water fill stations at three remote locations that supply irrigation for three local golf courses. Additionally, this group monitors the city wide lift stations via the telemetry system.
A highly trained Wastewater Facilities Maintenance Division is responsible for repairs and maintenance of all pumps, blowers, piping, and emergency power generators at both treatment plants and all wastewater booster pumping stations.
