There is no fee for entry into the contests. The Outdoor Yard Decorating & Scavenger Hunt Contests shall be subject to these Official Rules, and by entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.
Entrants assume any and all liability for any injuries, harm, or damages caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the contest and/or the acceptance and/or use of any prize and hereby release the City of Port St. Lucie, its agents, employees, officers, and officials from any and all such liability, loss, harm, or damage. The City, its agents, employees, officers, and officials, are not responsible for: loss, damage, or harm of any kind, including but not limited to; the failure of any entry to be received due to computer failures of any kind, traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, telecommunications, network, electronic, telephone or mobile service outages, delays, busy signals, or any equipment malfunctions or other technical difficulties that may prevent the city from receiving any entry submission; entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, late, or damaged; any injury or damage to the entrant’s or any other computer, tablet, or electronic device related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest; nor is the City, its agents, employees, officials, officers responsible or liable for errors, any inaccurate transcription of entry information, errors in any promotional or marketing materials or errors in these Official Rules.
The City of Port St. Lucie in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found tampering with the entry process or the operation of the City’s website. Failure to comply with the Official Rules of the contest may result in an entrant’s disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prize or prizes.
The City’s liability in all instances shall be limited to the monetary limits set forth in s. 768.28, Florida Statutes. Nothing contained herein shall be deemed a waiver of the City’s sovereign immunity whether by contract or by law.
The entrant must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and reside in the City of Port St. Lucie and is void wherever prohibited or restricted by applicable federal or state laws and regulations.
- Entries must be residents within the municipal boundary of the City of Port St. Lucie. To verify whether you live in the City limits, check the St. Lucie County Property Appraiser’s website.
- A household cannot enter another household; each contestant must enter the contest themselves.
- Only decorations visible from the roadway will be considered.
- For Judging Week, all lights must be on from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. from Wednesday, January 8th through Thursday, January 9th, 2025.
- New Kid on the Block, PSL Showstopper and Holiday Light Show placings, which will be determined by the website voting, will be final. Only one vote per unique IP address allowed.
- Any decorations that are vulgar or promote violence in any way will be disqualified.
- First place winners are limited to two consecutive years, beginning in 2019.
