Port St. Lucie Hurricane Milton debris collection map now available

A high volume of vegetation and storm-related debris was left behind from Hurricane Milton. The City of Port St. Lucie understands residents are eager to clean up their yards and has a goal to have it all collected by the end of November.

How to separate storm debris for collection

All customers should place all vegetative yard debris and storm-related debris in separate piles by the curb as soon as possible. The debris will be picked up, however, it could take longer due to higher volumes. Please be patient.

St. Lucie County Hurricane Milton Update No. 10

More than 2,200 residents have been assisted in the first few days of opening the Multi-Resource Agency Center (MARC) inside the Fenn Center. As the number of residents seeking assistance has begun to decline, the hours of operations have been adjusted.

St. Lucie County Hurricane Milton Update No. 7

In the first two days of operations, St. Lucie County’s Multi-Resource Agency Center (MARC) at the Havert L. Fenn Center aided roughly 800 residents impacted by Hurricane Milton. Additionally, St. Lucie County staff delivered tarps and meals ready to eat (MREs) to impacted neighborhoods, including Creekside and Indian River Estates.

City of PSL Hurricane Milton Advisory #8

FCC will resume curbside collection on Friday morning, servicing Thursday’s customers who were not collected because of Hurricane Milton. This means Thursday’s customers should put their carts out by 7 a.m. for collection. Friday’s customers will be collected Saturday.

DOH-St. Lucie Offices Reopen After Severe Weather Impacts

All Florida Department of Health in St. Lucie County (DOH-St. Lucie) offices will remain closed on Friday, October 11, 2024, and will reopen with regular operation hours on Monday, October 14, 2024. For more information, please call DOH-St. Lucie at 772-462-3800.

St. Lucie County Hurricane Milton Update No. 5

St. Lucie County offices remain closed through Friday, Oct. 11, as first responders and public works/utility crews are still conducting response and recovery efforts and are scheduled to reopen to the public on Monday, Oct. 14. County employees may be required to report to assist with recovery efforts and should check with their supervisor.

As Hurricane Milton makes its way into the Atlantic, St. Lucie County Emergency Management officials strongly encourage residents to stay off the roads and stay inside until it has been deemed safe to do so. Unnecessary traffic or bystanders will hinder response and recovery efforts.

St. Lucie County Hurricane Milton Update No. 3

Due to the potential for hurricane force winds, St. Lucie County will close access to North and South Hutchinson Island starting at 8 p.m. today. Law enforcement will block access over the bridges for all traffic including residents of North and South Hutchinson Island, until the storm passes and the bridges have been inspected.

DOH-St. Lucie Urges Residents to Follow Flood Safety Tips

The Florida Department of Health in St. Lucie County (DOH-St. Lucie) urges residents to be aware of the health risks associated with flooding. Skin contact with flood waters does not, by itself, pose a serious health risk. However, health hazards are a concern when waters are or become contaminated with bacteria or contain dangerous debris.
