Food Truck Regulations
A new City of Port St Lucie ordinance for Mobile Food Dispensing Vehicles (MFDV) and Temporary Commercial Kitchens (TCK), commonly known as Mobile Food Trucks and Trailers, is now in effect.
The City recognizes the vital role that food trucks play in stimulating local economic growth, enhancing local culture. and supporting culinary entrepreneurs with the goal of establishing basic health and safety regulations.

Mobile Food Trucks and Trailers
With written permission from the property owner, Mobile Food Trucks and Trailers will be authorized in many areas to serve the community. Mobile Food Trucks and Trailer Operators must conspicuously display at all times their license, business tax receipt, inspection results, and the written permission of the property owner. Mobile Food Trucks and Trailers will be permitted to operate between the hours of 7am until 11pm.
During operation, Mobile Food Truck and Trailers must not:
a.) interfere with site-plan parking,
b.) park in disabled parking spaces;
c.) park on the grass;
d.) impede the flow of traffic.
Operators must keep the service area neat, tidy, and free of litter and trash. Alcohol sales and use of tables and chairs for patron use are strictly prohibited.
Business Tax Requirements for Vendors
Under the ordinance, vendors must display one valid business tax receipt. This can be either from the City of Port St. Lucie (PSL) or from another jurisdiction.
