Community Programs

The Community Programs Division provides residents with information about community and social services. If a service is not offered by the City, we refer residents to appropriate local and county agencies.

Year-round, the division also secures funding for City projects and neighborhood programs through various grants. It plans and administers federal, state, local, and other grants to support City initiatives, enhancing the City's capacity to complete improvement projects and encouraging staff to seek external funding opportunities.

The City receives federal and state grant funds from the following programs to address housing and community development projects:

Fair Housing Ordinance

City Council adopted a Fair Housing Ordinance(PDF, 464KB) on October 10, 2005 that augments state and federal legislation and provides the citizens of Port St. Lucie with a procedure for processing complaints of housing discrimination at the local legal.
