Registration & Policies

Registration

Registration for many recreational activities can be completed online or in person at:

Register for Recreation Classes & Programs Online

If there are not enough registrations to hold a class or program, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone it. All registered participants will be notified and given a complete refund if a program is canceled. Once a program is full, registrations will be closed.

To ensure your participation, please contact the appropriate office for registration procedures. No phone registrations will be accepted. Pre-registration is suggested, as most classes are limited in size.

We accept cash, money orders, checks made payable to the City of Port St. Lucie, Visa, American Express, Discover, and MasterCard.

Child Registration

If a parent or guardian cannot register their child(ren) for a class or program, they may designate another adult to register on their behalf. This designated adult may also register their own child(ren). However, only a parent or guardian can sign the required waiver for their child(ren) before the class or program begins.

Please do not request that your child be placed in a class they do not belong in. Age requirements are set to benefit the children and facilitate easier instruction for the program leader. In some cases, age requirements are set for your child's safety. Thank you for your cooperation.

Americans with Disabilities Act

The City of Port St. Lucie is committed to implementing the intent and spirit of the ADA, which went into effect on January 26, 1992. This civil rights legislation aims to make services and opportunities fully available to all by addressing barriers and prejudices faced by individuals with special challenges and needs. Those requiring assistance to enjoy our programs should contact our offices so arrangements can be made.

Errors and Adjustments

While we strive to provide accurate information about events and classes, errors may occur. Circumstances may also require adjustments to programs, fees, schedules, etc. The Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to make any necessary adjustments and apologizes for any inconvenience these may cause.

Canceled Classes

Some classes may be canceled on holidays. Please check with your instructor or call the appropriate facility if you have a question. City holidays are also noted on the city's calendar.

Classes may also be canceled due to lack of interest. To avoid disappointment, please register early, as decisions to cancel are made approximately three days prior to the course start date if minimum class numbers are not met.

Refund Policies on Registration Procedures

Your satisfaction is important to us. All refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the first class meeting date for classes that meet more than once. If a registrant attends more than one class, no refunds will be given. If the city cancels a program or class, refunds will be issued. All summer camp refunds will be subject to a $15 refund fee. Refunds may take up to three weeks to process.
