Reservations & Rentals

All reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be made over the phone. 

Accepted Forms of Payment: Cash, check, and credit card. All fees are subject to Florida Department of Revenue Sales Tax according to Chapter 12A-1.001. Tax-exempt, non-profit, and travel ball groups/teams must provide exemption paperwork and make reservations in person at the PSL Community Center.

Community Center Rentals

For room rental inquiries for your special event at the PSL Community Center, email the Event Coordinator at ECCommCenter@cityofpsl.com.

Community Center amenities:

  • 8,300 square feet banquet hall with stage available for a variety of events, including weddings, parties, performances, shows, dances, seminars, meetings, contests, auctions, etc.
  • Outside plaza area
  • Weekend reservations at the Community Center available until 12 a.m.
  • The banquet hall can be divided into two to four separate rooms for smaller functions
  • Two meeting rooms that can accommodate groups from five to 50.
  • Full-size catering kitchen
  • Free Wi-Fi and ADA Restrooms

Park Pavilions

Pavilion reservations can be made online or in person at the PSL Community Center.

  • Reservations: Can be made by 8 p.m. the day prior for next-day use, provided payment and applicable paperwork are received.
  • Neighborhood Parks: Reservations are accepted up to 180 days (six months) in advance, subject to participant limits.
  • Community Parks: Playing fields and pavilions may only be reserved up to 90 days in advance.

Note: Sunday pavilion reservations are not available at Veterans at Rivergate Park, Veterans Memorial, Tom Hooper River Deck, or Rivergate Boardwalk.

  • Weekday Reservations: Must be made three days prior to the reservation date, excluding the date of reservation.
  • Weekend Reservations: Must be made before 8 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the reservation date.

Special Activities

  • Bounce houses, pony rides, and other entertainment uses must be identified at the time of reservation. Such uses will only be considered if policy requirements can be met within the specified timeframe. The company hired must be on our list of pre-qualified vendors(PDF, 55KB).
  • Water activities or amusement rides are prohibited, except for water balloons.
  • Personally owned, non-commercial items, and domestic petting zoos are prohibited.

Liability Requirements

All entertainment vendors must be pre-qualified through our Parks & Recreation Department with proper insurance and required documents provided by the reservation holder. Payment of Fees

All park reservations must be paid in full at the time of reservation.

Tournament Fees

The Assistant Director or designee must approve all tournaments. A facility request form must be completed before the reservation can be confirmed.

Holiday Reservations

  • Reservations on the following holidays will incur an additional 50% rate increase: Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day.
  • Reservations are not available on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Alcohol Beverage Consumption Permit

  • The cost for an alcohol permit is $29.67, valid for manned community parks only, and does not allow for the sale of alcoholic beverages. Inquire at Guest Services about the state sales license.
  • Host liquor liability insurance is required, listing the City of Port St. Lucie, its officers, employees, and agents as additional insured including the name of the person that rented the park, park name, date, and time of reservation on the policy.
  • Police officers may be required and will be paid by the reservation holder.

Rental Amenities

  • Big unit of bleachers used with the stage.

Maximum Capacity Per Reservation

The Parks & Recreation Department has the right to rescind reservations based on excessive attendance. If attendance exceeds the amount signed off at the time of reservation, the account of the person listed on the reservation will be flagged for future reservations. If necessary, staff may be required to call the police for assistance.

  • Manned facilities: 300+ attendees require approval by the Parks & Recreation Department's administration. An additional charge may be applied.
  • Unmanned facilities: See maximum park attendance below. Alcoholic beverages or petting zoos are not permitted.

Fee Waivers for School Usage

  • Schools, as defined in Chapter 1003, F.S. § 1003.01 (including private, charter, or home schools) receive free usage of City of Port St. Lucie sports fields. This does not include other amenities such as gyms, pavilions, or community/event centers.
  • Schools must provide proof of state registration.
  • School usage is limited to “group” usage rather than “individual” usage.
  • Fees for field lining and light usage apply and are due upon reservation.
  • Requests for fee waivers must be submitted in writing with required documents for approval.

Reservations Requiring a Police Officer

Manned community park reservations, based on attendance and/or alcohol use, will require an off-duty City police officer. Policy requirements can be provided by Guest Services. A separate check must be made out to the City of Port St. Lucie Police Department.

Noise Ordinance #91-43

If noise levels (i.e., music, announcements) could violate Ordinance #91-43, a noise permit must be obtained through the Police Department prior to the event.

Refund Guidelines

  • The guest must notify Guest Services located at the City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department Community Center either in person or via phone at 772-878-2277 for refund inquiries.
  • If contact is made 15 days prior to the event, the guest will receive a 50% refund.
  • If contact is made 14 days or less prior to the event, the guest will not be eligible for a refund.

Rescheduling Guidelines

  • The guest is permitted to reschedule one reservation at no additional charge if requested 14 days prior to the reservation date, not including date reserved.
  • Rescheduling a reservation a second time for the same event, the guest will be charged the full reservation amount unless approved by the Assistant Director or designee.
  • Staff had to cancel the event due to a site situation or condition
  • No rescheduling for late arrivals, no shows, or the guest believed there was inclement weather.

Inclement Weather Conditions

  • The guest must call 772-878-2277 for cancellation, refunds or rescheduling
  • Park staff must confirm inclement weather conditions (i.e., rainouts, lightning storms, winds 25 mph or greater)
  • Requests must be made within five days after the reservation, not including the date reserved. Refunds will not be allowed once the reservation extends beyond the 5th day.
