Humane Society of St. Lucie County: Operates a no-kill nonprofit animal shelter located at 8890 Glades Cut Off Rd, Port St. Lucie Fl, 34986. Port St. Lucie Animal Control keeps all domestic animals for a 5 day stray hold period at PSL Animal Control. After 5 days, the animals are transferred to the Humane Society of St. Lucie County. Residents should call PSL Animal Control if they have lost a pet.
St. Lucie County’s Animal Safety Division Shelter: Animals impounded by St. Lucie County’s Animal Safety staff will be temporarily housed at the county’s new shelter, located behind the Midway Veterinary Hospital at 3404 West Midway Road, while they attempt to reconnect lost pets with their owners. Animals picked up by St. Lucie County’s Animal Services will be held at the facility on a five-day stray hold before being transferred to various partnering rescues and/or adoption facilities. Fort Pierce Animal Control Adoption Center: located 100 Savannah Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34982 is operated by the City of Fort Pierce Animal Control Division. Lost pets picked up by Animal Control are taken to this facility for their stray hold and adopted if no owner claims them.
