Access to Capital Expo for small business owners

The City of Port St. Lucie’s inaugural Access to Capital Expocan provide small business owners with information about available financial resources to help build or grow their businesses.
The Expo will take place Thursday, May 9 from 12-4 p.m. at the Port St. Lucie Community Center at 2195 SE Airoso Blvd. The event is free and open to any current or potential business owner.
Local lenders and small business development resource providers will have information available on business loans, resources and programs to support small businesses.
A panel presentation will begin at 1 p.m., with speakers from the Florida Small Business Development Center, SCORE Treasure Coast, weVENTURE and the Small Business Administration providing insights about how to apply for funding and loan packages. A second panel presentation will begin at 2 p.m. and features lenders who will be discussing financing opportunities and processes. Participating lenders are Bank of America, Marine Bank & Trust, Black Business Investment and Corporation Pathway.
Attendees can look forward to:
- Understanding the free small business resources available to help their business apply for small business loans.
- Understanding lenders’ requirements to obtain a small business loan approval.
- Speaking directly with lenders and small business resource providers.
“This is an exceptional opportunity for small business owners to better understand the various resources and commercial loan programs that are available to them,” said Elijah Wooten, Economic Development Administrator for the City of Port St. Lucie. “Whether they’re starting a new business or looking to grow an existing one, the Expo will provide insights into obtaining financing that can help small business owners reach their goals.”
