How to separate storm debris for collection

All customers should place all vegetative yard debris and storm-related debris in separate piles by the curb as soon as possible. The debris will be picked up, however, it could take longer due to higher volumes. Please be patient.

There will be no penalties for leaving the debris out past their scheduled day or due to its size.

The City’s Convenient Drop-Off Site at Cameo reopened Friday, Oct. 11 and resumed its normal operating schedule:

  • Sunday: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Monday & Tuesday: Closed
  • Wednesday through Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The City's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is Saturday, Oct. 19 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Public Works Complex, 450 SW Thornhill Dr. Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful (KPSLB) makes it easy for City of Port St. Lucie and St. Lucie County residents (ID's required) to get rid of their unwanted household chemicals and hazardous waste. Residents don't even need to leave their cars, they simply drive up to the drop-off location, and volunteers will help unload any items for disposal, free of charge.

The St. Lucie County Solid Waste Baling & Recycling Facility is open and resumed its normal operating schedule. For the time being the landfill continues to accept vegetative and bulk waste at no charge to Port St. Lucie residents.
