Divisions
The Neighborhood Services Department handles various matters affecting individuals, neighborhoods, and the broader community in Port St. Lucie, through multiple divisions.
Community Programs Division: This division includes Neighborhood Planning, Neighborhood Improvement & Community Engagement (N.I.C.E.), and Housing & Grants. It works on establishing neighborhood identities, gathering citizen input, maintaining high quality of life, and promoting neighborhood beautification. Programs range from homeowner assistance to large-scale infrastructure improvements. The division also supports neighborhood groups, helps create neighborhood plans, addresses issues, fosters organizations, and acts as a liaison between citizens and city departments.
Code Compliance Division: The nationally accredited Code Compliance division works to keep neighborhoods safe, clean, and beautiful by enforcing the City’s Code of Ordinances. Code Compliance Officers work diligently in both commercial and residential zones to facilitate voluntary compliance to preserve the neighborhood characteristics that make Port St. Lucie one of the most desirable places in Florida to live, work, and play.
Code Compliance helps:
- Protect The Safety and Welfare of Port St Lucie Residents
